Birthday Celebrations!

The big guy turned three last month and we've been celebrating ever since!
Kade got to share a party last week with his buddy Jackson, who turned four.  It was such a good time and we're grateful to the Wilde's for letting us celebrate with them!

The proud mommies...love this girl.

Kade's first pinata action ... pure enjoyment on this face.

Kade eating his face...

No more pictures mom!!

So nice of the Reyna's to bring a football cake over and have our own little celebration for Kade's b-day.  They are important to our lives and like a second family to Kade!

Wow...here he is eating frosting off his fourth cupcake.  I'm such a good mom!

Train Park with his buddies on his actual birthday.

Birthday morning ...

...he is obsessed with legos right now!

I don't know who gets more excited about putting the legos together ... Kade or dad!

And Happy Easter!

Here are a few pics from Disney On Ice!  It may have been all about princesses but Kade and I had a good time.

This snow cone was a risk but I think the ice cold crotch for Kade was worth it!

Good-bye Earl...

Earl's a gonner.  Drew looks sad in this picture but he's really been so proud of himself.  He figured out where he was and sprayed some bug spray in there.  Earl came flying out and Drew went crazy on him!  No more chirping at night...I kinda miss him.  I could always count on Earl!

Waiting in line to jump on a tramp at a gymnastics place. They all look so angry!!

Playing at the Phoenix Zoo...

Kade loves his buddies...he is finally potty trained for good thanks to these guys.  Once Kade saw them go potty he hasn't looked back.  Peer pressure maybe?  I don't even care...potty training is over!

Here they are reading the map and figuring out where to go next.

The weather is awesome.  We have been taking Kade for some fun bike rides.

We walked to breakfast...

Drew's favorite thing to do!

Here's our sweet valentine treat we made for daddy!

And how rad are we for Valentine's Day...we went to Chik-Fil-A for a candle light dinner!  I am obsessed with this place and am pretty much a regular.  One employee introduced themselves to me today because they see me so often and felt like we should know each other's names.

It was a fun night and I think it will become a tradition.  No need to pay for a babysitter.
Love you boys!

Earl Has to Die

After 2 years of moving around we sure have some good memories of each of the apartments we've lived in.  Here's another one for the books.  So a cricket climbed somewhere behind the dishwasher about 4 or 5 months ago and has been chirping his little heart out every night when it gets dark.  He usually stops when he hears us come into the kitchen but starts back up again as soon as we leave.  We have always figured he would die eventually but he sure hasn't.  Drew had had enough one night and went after him.  He was worried he may have knocked another cricket up and had babies back there.  So before considering bug spray, he tore this whole thing apart after I had gone to bed.  I woke up around 2 am and went to the kitchen to get a drink.  I saw everything ripped out and could hear Earl (Drew named him) chirping away in triumph!

Here's Drew's To Do list...my favorite is #7.  It's still not crossed off and it's been a few weeks.

We pretty much do everything naked around here...by "we" I mean Kaden!  He loves soccer and trying to help me make dinner.

Here he is in his jersey with his loot he scored from China.  Dad spoiled us when he got home!

Moab Half Marathon

This sounds really crazy coming from me but I'm running the Canyonlands Half Marathon in Moab, Utah on March 19th with Drew and some members of his family. While we train to meet our endurance goals, we'd also like to reach our fundraising goal of $4000. Our efforts will benefit the Huntsman Cancer Foundation in Salt Lake City, Utah. If anyone wants to make a donation of any amount, it would be greatly appreciated!

As many of you know, my dad, Jan Lindbloom, died after a 2 year battle with melanoma fourteen years ago and I would love to run in his honor. I know he would be excited to see me participate in this event as he always strived to be physically active, to the extent his body would allow, during his lifetime. I know many have been affected by cancer to some degree and it's extremely devastating. I read that in the U.S., one in three women and one in two men will develop cancer during their lifetime.

Thank you so much for supporting us in our efforts and helping to provide hope and clarity to those seeking to demystify cancer.

You can donate through our team page via this link:

http://hcf.kintera.org/canyonlands/yergerbergers

or through my personal page via this link:

My goal is to raise money, participate, and just not kill over before I reach the finish line!

Cheers!

Here's Kade and Drew sharing a Fanta drink on Skype.  I love that we can do this.  It was midnight for Drew in China at about 8:00 this morning and he called to chat.  Kade spotted a Fanta that he was drinking and we happened to have some too so they were able to do a toast!  We left skype up for awhile as we carried on with our morning and Drew worked on the computer.  He was able to chat with Kade and entertain him so it was nice!

Christmas Fun 2010

Christmas time seems to fly by so fast!  It was crazy but fun and even better this year for two reasons. First, Kade was able to get excited about it and somewhat understand the idea of Santa. And second, apart from our trip to Utah we didn't have to drive in or deal with snow - although I still managed to run our car into someone. Here's a few of the pics from this Christmas season:

We went to play in my idea of a good snowstorm (foam) down at Dessert Ridge mall with our buddies.

Yes, it was December and Kade was playing in the water at Slade's house with no pants on ... lovin the weather.

I don't know who was more excited for this but we rode on the Polar Express train in Flagstaff and it was a lot of fun.

Kade used to call himself "Kiki" so we were pretty excited to see this and force him to stand in front for a picture.

Then we went up to Utah on Christmas Eve for a week and had a great time with everybody!

Kade couldn't get enough of the cousins...

And sure loves his Grammy and Papa!

He was pretty stoked about his new bike from Santa and my sister Julie found him this sweet Jets helmet.

It was freezing cold but he still managed to get some riding in!

Drew and Tim playing "Musical Jeopardy" with everyone!

Kade and dad doing a little sledding ...

We were all so pooped by the time we drove home. Kade decided to get comfortable here and I had to take a picture before moving him!
