Owl City

My friend Melissa and I had a fun night in Dallas at the Owl City concert. Here we are starting the night of right with a big Diet Coke.
Check out our cool T's.
We were definitely the only moms there but had more fun than anyone!
The House of Blues was such a cool place and I just love a good concert! Oh and cruising around in Melissa's Mercedes was pretty cool too. Thanks Melissa!
And here we are having the fanciest dinner I've ever had at one of Mike's restaurants.
Aren't we precious? The jelly bean in the middle had her beautiful baby a few weeks ago and we're so excited for her and her hubby!

Rudy, Rudy

So the first thing Kade says when he wakes up is "football" and "daddy". He has been brainwashed to a certain extent..he loves to watch football on the weekends with dad. But a few weeks ago he was pulling all the dvds out and got really excited when he found "Rudy". He kept saying "football" and now we watch the darn movie about ten times a day. He just wants the actual sports parts so we usually just watch the ending over and over. He doesn't care for cartoons much but loves him some "Rudy". The good news is the soundtrack is awesome and it reminds me of our days in South Bend!
And then I asked him one night to go get his pajamas out of his closet and this is what he came back with!

Hoppy Halloween (hee hee)

I feel like Halloween is finally fun again! All these years of being too cool and too old to get free candy and look stupid...but now I have Kade! It was more fun than I realized it would be to watch him go up to each door and try and figure out why these strangers were all giving him candy!

We went with these cute girls and their cousins! Kade totally looks like he's a part of their family!
Overall we had a great night and Kade was quite excited about his goodies. I couldn't get him to go to bed!

And what added to the fun was having our buddy Ryan out for the weekend. Drew and him headed to San Antonio for the Notre Dame game but we got to spend a few days all together and as you can see...Kade was quite a fan.
We miss ya already Cash!

Post of Shame

It's just not meant to be...after working hard over the last five years to clean up a nasty driving record I got in an accident and got a speeding ticket within one week. The tumultuous affair drags on...I guess me and automobiles were never meant to be!

While we're at it...let's just show off our acne and embarrassing attempts to get rid of it. I'm not a believer in the strips!

And maybe our lives are just a little too boring but Drew kept getting mad at me for moving this basketball hoop out of the living room and into Kaden's room. So I went to bed one night and he had stuck the thing under my covers. So I put it in the backseat of his car before he went to work and this is where I found it when I went to stick Kade in the tub last night! How exciting are we!

But we do get out and actually have a great time around here taking Kade to the playground. Thanks Grammy for the fun sweatshirts!

Don't be scared.

The goal is to poop this guy out...we're usually quite successful!

Pumpkin Patch

Kade and I had a great time at the pumpkin patch with our buddies Melissa and Aisha. I'm sad my camera died before I got many pics cuz this place was insane.
Kaden didn't understand what these big things were and just kept trying to pick them up and throw them!

But we had a great time and look forward to wherever the pumpkin patch will be next year!

Texas State Fair

We had sooo much fun at the Texas State Fair last weekend with our friends Ryan and Alicia. Drew turned into a 9 year old as soon as he saw the ferris wheel! Here's our handsome man scoping things out and trying to figure out where we had taken him.

Here he is playing with Ryan...

..and me eating with Alicia! Let's be honest, the fair is all about the good naughty food. And especially this fair...they fry everything! Snickers have been my favorite thing lately and this one was fried! They also had fried butter this year but we passed on that one.

Check out the giant turkey leg that was as big as my head! It was so good!

We had to work on this thing together and still couldn't finish it.

Drew had more fun on this ride than Kade did...he came rolling around towards the end and had kicked Kaden out and hopped on the horse to get a few rides in for himself. What a fun night!

And another great night was going to the Zac Brown Band concert. They are our new favy right now and the concert was awesome!

Birthday Parties

Happy Birthday Caitlyn and Abby!
We had a great time at our friends house celebrating the birthdays of their two girls.

Kade loved running around and playing with all their new toys!

Another fun birthday for our buddy Emma! Kade loved this place and we had a great time with everybody.

And why not just throw in a pic of the first poop in the bathtub. It was disgusting but so funny when Kade turned around, saw his duke and freaked out! I think he thought it was alive and climbed out of the tub as fast as he could!

We Love Visitors!

We've been so lucky to have some really fun peeps come out to see us here in Dallas over the last few months! Our first visitor was my sister Kristine who came for a whole month! It was great to have her and we appreciate all her help while she was here.

Aunt Julie and Uncle Elliott came out for the weekend of the big BYU game at the new Cowboys stadium. Julie always spoils Kade and brought him a fun little barn with little animals that go inside but Kade couldn't help try it out for himself.
We had to hit up the mall for a bit and here's Kade chillin in the little kids play area. Could he be anymore comfortable in his own skin?

Not so much a BYU fan myself but we had a great time going to the game. It was really cool even from the very top row!

Drew was in heaven just checkin out the new Cowboys stadium!

We went back again a few days later to check out a highschool football game. There was a team there from Utah but I can't remember who it was!

I was sooo sad when they left...this smile was a little forced if you can't tell. Thanks so much for coming guys!

Drew hit up Houston the next weekend with his bestest buddies Brooks, Abe, and Garrett. Despite the looks on their faces here I think they had a good time.

Okay...maybe a little too much of a good time!

What a proud fan!

Brooks and Abe came back up to Dallas for another day so Kade and I were glad we got to see them for a bit. Here we are in Dallas at a pretty good mexican restaurant. Kade was all over the place and I was glad to have these two to keep him entertained.

Abe is seriously so cute with Kade and you can see Kade has taken quite a liking to him!

We also went and checked out the area where JFK was assasinated. Drew's doing his best to reenact the scene from the grassy knoll!

We're so thankful for Drew's great buddies and it was so fun to see them!

Then we got to have Uncle Seany out the next weekend!

Sean and Drew hit up some fun games, we ate some good Texas barbecue and got to see our nephew Corbin while Sean was here. It was such a fun weekend and Kade had a great time bonding with his uncle!

The next week my favorite asian, April, came up from Houston with her cute friend, Shauna, for the weekend! It was sooo fun to have some girl time...especially with these girls!

We ate a lot of food, watched movies, and girl talked it up. Kade bawled his eyes out when they left!
