Disneyland

I have totally neglected the blog! And as you can see, we've finally gone private. Some weirdo at Drew's work googled us and had Drew's life over the past two years memorized and kept talking about it so he came home and privatized us! With us living all over the place for awhile I do want to keep up the blog to stay connected to friends and family. Here are some pictures of our latest trip to Disneyland and a few moments of our life here in Scottsdale...which we are really enjoying!

This trip was so fun! I'm pretty sure Kade has this grumpy face in about every picture but I promise he is a happy kid! And he had a great time in Disneyland...although I think Drew had the most fun!

Drew ran another 1/2 marathon (like it was no biggie) with his brother Sean, sister Tineka, and brother-in-law/favorite running buddy Tim. I'm proud to say this is about his fifth race? A few of those have been marathons and relay races...I think he is secretly a superhero.

I had to capture the look on Kade's face on our first ride (Peter Pan). I was expecting a little more excitement but it was more of an intense look I would say.

I love this picture! Kade loves his cousin, Landon, so much! Everytime they see eachother, even if they've only been apart for 5 minutes, they hug like long lost buddies.

There's a smile!

And another one from Dadio (that's what Kade call him).

My little bugs...

We had such a great time with Sean & Jess, Shauna, Justin, and Tristyn at Disneyland and a blast with the Shoemakers with our slumber party in our hotel room and going to the beach after the race...thanks guys!

Recent AZ Activities

So far it's been a really fun summer down here in AZ.  Here are a few things we've been up to:

Hangin out with the awesome Reyna's...they just bought a new house!

My really good friend, Cat, came from Holland for a week long visit. We made a roadtrip to San Diego for a weekend and had some fabulous girl time. She had just found out she is pregnant right before this trip so it was so fun to shop for baby clothes. And it was awesome that we both wanted to climb into bed by about 8 pm!!

The weather wasn't so great but it was still awesome to be chillin on the beach with a good book. This is my idea of a perfect day...

..especially when I top it off with a giant burrito!

We clearly did a lot of eating...I got Cat hooked on Cafe Rio. We had such a good time shopping, eating, chatting, and chasing Kade around. Thanks again for coming all this way, especially when pregnant!

Kade took some swimming lessons which were slightly frightening as you can see by this photo.

And I guess he doesn't look so happy about it in this one either.

But he learned so much and it was totally worth it!

I wish I had more pics but we went camping over Memorial Day weeekend with some friends here and had a blast! Kade's first camping trip was a success in my opinion. Thanks to dad..who Kade shared a sleeping bag with..I'm a little stubborn when it comes to my sleep.

It was great to have Brooks and Melinda down here this past weekend. And we got to have some slumber parties with the Johnson's! We had a fun weekend swimming...

..eating..

(I guess Kade really likes parmesan cheese)

...going to a D-Backs game (Jess hates me for posting this one)...

(Drew and Kade were getting ticked at me for taking so many pictures of them...it was great)

...and of course, watching the World Cup!!

Kade is absolutely in love with Mae...he didn't let this one out of his sight all weekend.

And he pretty much does whatever she is doing as you can see!

Girls Trip to St. George!

A few weeks ago my friends and I took off to St. George to meet up with my sis and a buddy to spend some time before Suzy moved to Pennsylvania. We stayed with a friend of Aprils and it was absolutely fabulous!

I was so happy we got to hit up Wingers for my favorite sticky fingers!

Michelle's house was awesome and she made some killer crepes!

And she totally taught herself to do hair...we decided to take Suzy's blond hair to the next level.

What fun gals!

Especially this one...too bad she's across on the other side of the country now.

Gettin a little crazy with the lipstick...

I hate goodbye's!

April caught me with my mean hungry face.

Such a good weekend...thanks ladies!
