Our Little Monkey

We went to the ward trunk-or-treat last night and Kaden went as a monkey! His grammy got him this costume in Utah and I was so excited to put him in it. Let's be honest...at this age, dressing him up is just for our fun! Poor guy...but I think he had a good time watching all the kids.

Here's his cute buddy....superman!

He was a little confused why all these kids were getting candy and he wasn't.

Dad was off at an interview in Minneapolis but he had a good time with our neighbor Dan...

...and chasing the ladies! It probably had a lot to do with the sucker hanging out of her mouth.

Big Boy!

I've had some demands to get a pic on of Kaden's little bottom teeth and this was the best I could do! It's so hard to get a picture of those little things! But they are pretty dang cute and hopefully you get the idea.

His need to scale every piece of furniture and object possible sure is great but can be frustrating when you're trying to change a diaper! I had to grab the wipes and here's what happened. I thought it was a perfect photo op moment. He is going to be mad at me for this some day!

He was sure proud when he made it! I had to edit this one or else he would really be out to get me some day.

And I love this photo Jess took when we were headed to Chicago that I didn't add before!

Our Last Day!

After breakfast, we went on an architecture tour down the river. It was so awesome!

Here are the boys waiting in line. Aren't they so cute?!

We learned so much about Chicago's history and it really is the coolest city!

Kaden thankfully slept for pretty much the entire tour!

The Arnels had to get to the airport that afternoon so we went back to the hotel for a bit before they left. So what better thing to do then straighten Kaden's hair? We put Jess' styling skills to the test with this one.

Look how long his hair is!

It's kind of hard to see in this pic but he totally looked like a bird and we were laughing so hard! His hair went back curly after only a few hours!

After we said our sad goodbye's, Jess and I headed out for a little more shopping while the boys went to a movie. Chicago has two H & M's and two Forever 21's...it really doesn't get better than that!

Here's Drew and Abe in some costume store with masks from their favorite movie. We went out for Sushi later that night before saying goodbye the next morning. We were so appreciative to them all for coming and had such a good time! We miss them already and Kaden is going through withdrawals at this point. He was so excited to see them every morning know they were still here! We are so thankful for good friends and hope to see them again soon!

Back to Chicago

We took the train back to Chicago the next day with technology making the long trip much shorter!

That night we went to a comedy show at Second City, which is where a bunch of SNL members got their start.

There was some great political humor and we had some good laughs!

Cedar Point

We were pretty pooped that night and just picked up some sandwiches and stayed in. Us girls watched a movie (we didn't make it too long) and, big surprise, the boys played video games.
Oh...and the most important event of the evening. Abe and Brooks found these sweet shirts and surprised Drew with his own Captain America tee. Abe is Wolverine and Brooks is clearly Spiderman. We got a good laugh out of these and seriously...check out Abe's eyebrows!

After a more thorough tour of campus the next day...

We headed to Cedar Point theme park in Ohio with Captain America and Spiderman leading the way!

We had such a great time and I think this pic is kind of funny. Jess changed the setting to black & white with a yellow accent and it picket up my hair, face & scarf and Kaden's face too. I'm pretty sure our coloring is nothing alike!

Kaden was really good and Jess & Abe were nice enough to take him while I went on the coolest ride there even though it was over a 2 hour wait!

We thought this marshmallow man was pretty sweet. We were frozen at this point and headed back to the car with Kaden while the rest of the crew squoze in a few more rides before the 3 hour ride back to South Bend.

To Chicago To Get The Arnels

We then headed to Chicago that afternoon to check into our hotel. We had an awesome view and got such a great deal thanks to a Reyna hook-up.

Kaden sure has a lot of fun with Uncle Abe!

Abe & Jess and I went and explored a bit before going to getting the Arnels at the airport.

While Kade was sleeping, Drew and the Reynas picked up the Arnels and went out for some famous deep-dish pizza which I sure enjoyed at midnight when Drew got back and for breakfast the next morning!

The Magnificent Mile has some amazing shopping that us girls tackled while the boys found things to do to entertain themselves. Here they are bowling with their itouch thingers.

They also helped out with Kaden while Drew was at a job interview for 3 hours!

When Drew was done, we headed out for some great Italian food for lunch.

Kaden had a good time even though he missed out on the pasta.

We did a little more sight seeing and then headed back to South Bend!

The Reynas Arrive to South Bend!

So the Reynas arrived last Wedensday night and stayed in the guest apartment down the hall. My little Christmas elf took them up on campus to check out the Grato.

Here they are the next morning taking some fun picture in front or our apartment building.

When Abe had had it with the pictures we went out to lunch...

And stopped at my favorite place in South Bend...The South Bend Chocolate Company!

Kaden was so happy to have them here!

4th Folder, 4th Picture

So I have been tagged to post the fouth picture in the fourth folder of my photos...

and it happens to be me stuffing my face! This was right before a Jazz game before we had Kaden (which is hard to imagine). I do remember that mint oreo being so freakin delicious!

Now I tag: Melissa (in AZ), Leslie (in Utah), & Jessica Yerg

Silver Beach

While the weather was still good, we went up to Silver Beach in Michigan last week with our little buddy Polina.
It was beautiful and we're sad we didn't go earlier!

Drew and Polina had a great time on the playground!

Mathy's Farm

We went to Mathy's farm last week with a bunch of fun moms and started out with a hay ride!
Kaden wasn't exactly sure what was going on but had a fun time watching all the kids....

and eating everything in sight! Here he is with Kimberly eating the grass.

And trying to eat the pumpkins with his buddy Jacob. I'm such a good mom!

Here he is trying to figure out how exactly he is going to go about eating this one.

By the end of the trip, these two boys were absolutely pooped!
